The Stock & Bond Markets - Asian stock markets will return 14%, the U.S. will return 13% and the European markets will return 11% according to Goldman Sachs. While predicting the past is easier than predicting the future, January is a good time to offer predictions and, so far, January has been a good month. This, of course is tempered by an inverted yield curve (when short-term rates are higher than long-term rates, often a foreboding sign) - it's always something, isn't it? And JP Morgan predicts a market decline - geez. These different scenarios again support our practice of hedging bets and diversifying whether you're a conservative, moderate or aggressive investor.
CELEBRATING 26 YEARS Since 1980, I have been providing financial advice to investors and I'm proud to say that our service and performance (see "Bottom Line" section on the right) continue to be superior to the market and our peers. Thanks for your support.
Real Estate Bubble? - Sales of new homes fell by more than 11%, the biggest decline in almost 12 years. Let's be clear - the prices are still higher than the prior year and sales are expected to set a record for the 5th consecutive year. Still, after 13 consecutive interest rate increases by the Federal Reserve, there is a real fear that perception of a bubble burst could be as much of a problem as real economics. Supply is up, homes are staying on the market longer and the question remains whether the housing market is taking a breather or anticipating a more troubled 2006.

| The Bottom Line |
 |
| This is where we provide the performance of our conservative, moderate and aggressive portfolios and compare these to the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Indexes. While they are an important consideration, performance is only a portion of the evaluation investors should consider when evaluating investment management. Other considerations include the risk taken to generate the returns, the quality of the service, the reasonableness of the fees and, more important now than ever, the integrity of the investment manager.
