The Stock & Bond Markets - The strength in the stock markets have been a welcome relief to many investors who have weathered the long storm since the popping of the internet bubble. Adding insult to injury while they watched the values of their 401K or other investment funds decline, they sat by wishing everything could have been in real estate which seemed everyone's answer to everything. The fortunes of both may or may not be changing (our crystal ball is no better than anyone else's) but the dollar's ascent, oil's price declines and a strong consumer seem to be providing the necessary components to give hope (faith?) to Wall Street professionals. For now, the outlook seems positive.
CELEBRATING 25 YEARS Since 1980, I have been providing financial advice to investors and I'm proud to say that our service and performance (see "Bottom Line" section on the right) continue to be superior to the market and our peers. Thanks for your support.
Real Estate Bubble? - Quarterly median home prices continued their ascent but at a 3.8% vs. the prior quarter's 10.4% increase. Pessimism with America's builders (Toll Brothers and others) has increased and most have lowered their expectations for 2006 while the supply of new homes is at an all-time high (approximately 500,000 vs. 350,000 a few months ago). Santa Barbara real estate, according to the Local Market Monitor, is 73.69% over- valued making it number 2 "over-priced" community in the country. California experienced major price declines in the early-1990s and it took an average of 8 years before reaching the prior high prices preceding that decline - it wasn't that long ago but perhaps the recent soaring prices represent something "different" this time - or not.

| The Bottom Line |
 |
| This is where we provide the performance of our conservative, moderate and aggressive portfolios and compare these to the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Indexes. While they are an important consideration, performance is only a portion of the evaluation investors should consider when evaluating investment management. Other considerations include the risk taken to generate the returns, the quality of the service, the reasonableness of the fees and, more important now than ever, the integrity of the investment manager.
